Salary:  $6,966.00 – $8,132.00 Monthly

The City of Berkeley is currently accepting applications for Senior Behavioral Health Clinician! The City of Berkeley’s Health Services Division provides a variety of mental health services and programs throughout the community, including prevention and intervention services with a focus on high-risk adults, transition age youth, and children and families. Community based service supports are also provided and include coordination of housing, consumer and family services, and employment or vocational supports.

 

The Aging Services Division operates two daily activity senior centers and one service center, and provides support services to the community including:  educational and recreational day trips, center based and home delivered meals, health, fitness and education classes and activities, socialization and volunteer opportunities, technology access, case management services, senior injury prevention interventions, and caregiver support and consultation.

The Senior Behavioral Health Clinician provides lead direction and handles complex or difficult behavioral health client cases, and has ongoing responsibility for major management and/or organizational responsibilities within the program. Incumbents provide experienced clinical consultation to clinical staff as well as have ongoing responsibility for management functions delegated by the program supervisor. The work may include: performing adult/child client assessments; providing individual/group treatment in a variety of settings; conducting behavioral workshops; acting as liaison to other community agencies to evaluate mental health needs and services, and planning and development of appropriate programs.
