Tracking your moods might be the most effective way to begin to gain control in your life. It can be a relief to find that you only have angry moods when you’re on your cycle (women) or haven’t slept well. In order to handle the daily onslaught of challenges, disappointments and unexpected changes that infiltrate much of life, it helps to recognize ways to limit the disappointments, prepare for the challenges and beat the odds. Depression might cease to be the unpredictable monster that smothers your energy but instead be recognized as somewhat predictable changes that are triggered by specific conditions or events.
